Bolted tank for firemen use


Apro Industrie designs, manufactures and installs bolted tanks from 10 to 4,000 m3 and currently maintains more than 6,000 tanks in France and worldwide.

The bolted tanks are made of prefabricated sheets (2500x1250 mm) bolted together on site to form rings. The sheets are made of galvanised mild steel. The tank is fixed above ground on a concrete base designed to withstand the tank loads.

The water tightness of the tank is provided by a tailor-made prefabricated liner fitted inside the tank. The liner forms the tank base and walls and lies on a disc of protective polyester matting.


The tanks are supplied with a self-supporting decking cover equipped with a padlocked inspection hatch. Access to the tank cover is via an external aluminium safety ladder. The lower part of this ladder can be removed.

Standard bolted tanks are supplied with the followings accessories:

  • Suction connection with anti-vortex plate and a symmetrical fire brigade connection with valve
  • External infill connection (DN65) with a bottom connecting flange
  • Hydrostatic level gauge
  • Drain valve (DN80)
  • Overflow connection

 

Numerous other options are also available, including: external polyester paint, external cladding rails for thermal insulation, automatic heater control, etc.
