Drinking water tank

Apro Industrie designs, manufactures and installs drinking water tanks from 30 to 20,000 m3 for industrial and municipal applications in France and abroad.

Apro Industrie's drinking water tanks are made of various materials, depending on the country where the tank is installed and the specific requirements:

• Galvanised mild steel with a tailor-made prefabricated liner
• Aluminium with a tailor-made prefabricated liner
• Epoxy coated steel with a mastic sealant applied between the sheets
• Glass-fused-to-steel with a mastic sealant applied between the sheets

Drinking water tanks are usually supplied with a manway on the bottom ring of the tank for maintenance. A waterproof cover prevents the water from being contaminated by external elements. The cover can also be provided in different materials.

 

When a liner is used to make the tank watertight, the liner is specifically treated for the storage of drinking water. The liner is delivered with a Certificate of Health Compliance.

As an option, drinking water tanks can be fitted with cladding rails (tank roof and wall) for cladding and insulation.

The tank is above ground and anchored to a concrete base designed to withstand the loads of the tank and its contents. For water towers, the drinking water tank can be installed on a steel or concrete tower.
